This reputation stems from its wide range of medicinal benefits. For centuries, it has been valued as an effective adaptogen, immune modulator, and general tonic.

Red Reishi History
Around 2730 BC, the Chinese emperor Shen Nong personally tasted and catalogued over 365 herbs, creating the first book of Traditional Chinese Medicine. He ranked each herb based on three criteria: the range of illnesses it could treat, its effectiveness, and its side effects.
Of all the herbs he studied, red reishi was crowned the champion of the “Superior” herbs — prized for its ability to support a wide range of health conditions without harmful side effects.
So rare and revered, red reishi was once reserved exclusively for royalty. Its importance in ancient Asian culture is reflected in historical paintings, embroideries, architecture, sculptures, and carvings depicting gods and immortals.
